Teen Dating Violence Campaign
Poster for Mall Kiosks
As part of the Teen Dating Violence public awareness campaign, OPDV produced an innovative poster for mall kiosks.
The 40x50 backlit posters appeared on 27 kiosks in 16 malls throughout
New York State in the fall of 2005.

Poster description
The barcode on the teens forehead is eye-catching, drawing the viewer to the headline, You are not his property. The headline refers to the fact that teen dating violence is about more than physical violence. Its about power and control, possessiveness and entitlement. Concluding with the campaign theme, If it doesnt feel right, it probably isnt, the kiosk is designed to trigger recognition in some viewers who may have a feeling that somethings wrong in their or a friends relationship, but they just cant identify it. OPDV continued the Teen Dating Violence campaign in the spring of 2006 with new radio and television public service announcements.
